Privacy notice

Last updated 4 October 2026. This describes the current public beta. The operator is still reviewing its long-term retention and contact process.

What this device saves

Quizzes are guest-only. There is no account or server-side personal scorebook. This browser saves the last and best score for each finished quiz in local storage so you can see your best result and get suggestions for quizzes you have not played yet. This history stays on this device, does not sync across browsers, and is not sent with analytics. Clear it below or through your browser’s site-data controls.

Unfinished rounds

Multiple-choice, true/false and higher/lower quizzes keep unfinished answers, a random attempt identifier and start time in this browser tab’s session storage. They can recover after refresh for up to 24 hours while the quiz content matches. Completing the round clears this recovery record. Naming quizzes also retain found-answer IDs, play mode and the original deadline in tab storage for up to 24 hours; unsubmitted text is not saved. Refreshing does not pause timed naming rounds. The cricket grid retains placed player IDs and its original start time in tab storage for up to 24 hours while board and eligibility data match. Reset or completion clears grid recovery; search drafts are not saved. Mystery-player practice retains the current player number, revealed-clue count and original start time in tab storage for up to 24 hours while clues and answers match. Solving, giving up or replaying clears that record; typed guesses are not stored. Other remaining formats do not yet recover after refresh.

City-level aggregate analytics

We count page views, quiz starts and quiz completions by quiz page, day and approximate city, region and country. Cloudflare infers the location from the network request; it may be wrong, especially on mobile networks or VPNs. The app stores only daily totals in its Cloudflare database—not IP addresses, cookies, browser identifiers, individual scores or answers. We use these counts to see which city-first cricket quizzes people play and where players drop off. Aggregate counts remain until deleted by the site operator. This is not a unique-person count.

Traffic sources and test activity

For browser views, quiz starts and completions, we count a broad source category: search, social, referral, tagged campaign, or direct/unknown. This tab remembers its arrival category until 30 minutes of inactivity so it follows navigation into a quiz. We do not send referrer URLs, search terms, campaign text or click identifiers to our analytics database. Marked owner and automated test activity is separated from normal reports. A browser-local test preference and a first-party test-mode cookie keep owner checks marked until disabled. The analytics control below also disables browser view and quiz-event reporting; raw hosting requests remain counted separately.

Returning-browser counts

This browser also keeps a random ID in local storage for up to 90 days since its last successful count. Once per India calendar day, it reports only “new” or “returning” to TrivBuzz. The ID never leaves this browser; the server stores only daily totals by approximate city, region and country. These are approximate browser counts, not people or cross-device identities. Clearing site data resets the ID. You can turn off this counting below; existing aggregate totals cannot be attributed back to your browser.

Hosting

The guest-only version is hosted on Cloudflare. The host may process technical request and security logs under its own terms; this app does not control the host’s retention. No advertising network, payment service or Google Analytics is connected by this app.

What remains under review

An operator contact, a fixed aggregate-retention period, and an independent privacy/legal review are pending. We will update this notice when those decisions are made. Please do not put sensitive information into quiz answers or other site inputs.
